Like they say, parenthood is challenging and rewarding at the same time. We wanted to start this blog in hopes to keep our family & friends & those going through some of the same experiences up to date on our growing family. Camille is making our life full of suprises- it all started with her early arrival in 2009! We are enjoying being a family of 3 and can't wait to see what the next few years have in store for us.

Camille is a Bumblebee
Camille moved to a new class at school this week. She has gone from a Butterfly to a Bumblebee. This class is a huge transition for us both! First big change: since she was 10 wks old, she has been in the upstairs part of the school. This is where the offices and the baby rooms are. Well her new class is downstairs where all the "big kids" are! Second big change: her classroom layout. They have assigned spots on the carpet, a big kitchen, puzzles, building blocks, and other big kids activity items. Each day they have an art project that they do, so far this week Camille has made a sea turtle and a summer mobile. Every Monday is Water Play Day and she gets to wear her bathing suit and play in the water activity area. Every Friday is Sand Play Day. I teared up dropping her off on Monday b/c everything felt so new & like she was growing up. I felt like it was her first day of school! She obviously did too, b/c she cried both Monday & Tuesday when I dropped her off. Luckily, 3 of her friends from her Butterfly class have transitioned with her, plus our neighbor Corey who she knows well. I think the familiar faces have definitely helped. She finally has a boy in her class, but its 1:4. Ha! Poor Corey! She hasn't cried since Tuesday, but is still hesitant when I leave each morning. I know this is just a matter of time until she warms up to her new space. Her new teacher is Mrs. Brianna and she has Miss Nicole in the late afternoon-whom she knows & adores! She just keeps getting bigger- 19 months old on Friday! Wow!
