Girls Weekend in Sanford

Camille and I had a great weekend in Sanford this past weekend. We spent Friday night and some of Saturday at Mimi's house. Mimi had even had put the finishing touches on the nursery- such a cute room with all the baby necessities. Saturday was spent strolling and then having lunch with Katie & Stephanie. Katie & Stephanie surprised Camille with a 4th of July dress and a precious pink flower bow for her hair. Stephanie took this precious picture of Camille modeling her new bow. We came back Saturday night in time for a neighborhood cookout and a Father's Day celebration with Nick's family. What a great weekend!

7 Months Old!

Camille turned 7 months old this past week. So hard to believe how quickly time is passing. Her new things lately seem to be her constant laughter/squealing and her new sounds she is making with her mouth. She only will do these things when she is in her own element though. She is also getting a little better at sitting up on her own.... it doesn't last long- but it is improvement! I am also happy to report that we are getting more and more comments about Camille looking more like her mom these days (music to my ears)!

Race for the Cure 2010- Go Team Christine!

Yet another successful year at Race for the Cure! Team Christine got recognized as one of the top fundraisers with over $25K raised!! Impressive! It was soo hot on Saturday, so we decided to keep Camille in the shade during the race and just let mommy do the running. Camille had a great time watching all the people and hanging out in her stroller. All that heat made for some good napping when we got home that afternoon. :)

Camille goes to Wilkesboro

Camille had her first trip to Wilkesboro this past weekend to visit my dad's side of the family. It was Camille's first time meeting her great grandparents! We all had a great time. John & Andrea rode with us, so they got to sit in the back and try to keep Camille happy the whole ride :) She was content most of the way, but Camille decided that she rather give the smiles to Aunt Andrea and save the stares for Uncle John. Most of the visit was for everyone to spend time with Camille- she was the center of attention for sure! We did venture to the local YMCA b/c they had a great outdoor kids water park area. Camille enjoyed sitting and splashing in the water with mommy & daddy, but was immediately ticked when an obnoxious kid splashed her. Don't worry- Nick took care of him :) On the way home, I was very amused looking in the backseat. I was driving and Camille was sitting in between Nick & John. Well she slept for a good 30 minutes once we departed, but quickly decided she was in the talking mood. She started babbling up a storm. Well, John was asleep and not waking up... and Nick was struggling to stay awake.... but she kept doing her "cat calls" and shrieking. Nothing could wake that pair. I guess Camille got bored of watching the two of them sleep, so she decided to go back to sleep for the rest of the ride!! (that is rare!)

Camille's First Boat Trip

Camille loved her first boat ride so much that she went right to sleep. We all laughed at her smushed up face in the life jacket, but she didn't seem to mind. Camille also enjoyed spending the weekend with her cousin Emily. Emily is 6yrs old and is already getting lots of practice in for her new baby that is arriving in August.

Memorial Weekend @ Buffalo Lake

Camille sure enjoyed visiting MawMaw & PawPaw this weekend at the lake! This is the first time it has been warm enough to get her in her bathing suit and in the water. The water was too chilly for me, so we only let Camille dip her toes, but she LOVED watching everyone else splash around. She was so worn out that she took her longest afternoon nap ever!

The Piano Prodigy

Camille had a great time playing the piano this weekend with MawMaw, Daddy, and Aunt Cilla. Notice her concentration and form- we may have a star on our hands! :)
