Well, I feel back to normal after my brief battle with food poisoning... Yuck! Worse than any flu bug or sickness I've had.... luckily, its back to reality....
Up until this week (aside from a day or two here and there), this winter hasn't felt much like winter. We have averaged temps in the 60s for the most part. This was our first full week of cold temperatures, and an extra cold weekend.
It's not out of the ordinary for Camille to get a cold, but the past few months have usually had a cold followed by some consistent wheezing. We purchased a nebulizer (breathing machine) a few months ago since we seemed to have had to borrow our neighbors or the doctor's office's every few weeks. It is nice owning our own and the doctor has given us a consistent supply of albuterol too. However, the more Camille gets this wheezing, the more they are leaning toward the realization that she might develop asthma. Camille is a trooper with her breathing machine though, which helps us all.
Despite her yucky wheezing, Camille had quite the cultural experience this weekend. She not only got to go to the NC Museum of Art, but she got to see the Rembrandt exhibit that is currently on display. Imagine, getting to view the largest Rembrandt exhibit at the age of 2! Thank you Aunt Jeannine!! Camille truly enjoyed it- she was pointing out all the boys and girls in the pictures and commenting on their hats and other accessories. I was so proud of her good behavior. Jeannine rewarded her with a trip to a local Mediterranean bakery called Almadina's (a spot Mimi had found a few weeks prior). It was delicious! Camille seemed to like the chocolate croissant best, but she didn't turn away from the apple baklava or date cookies either!
Today, Nick was itching to get Camille outdoors despite the cold weather. We have felt cooped up all weekend, so he braved the windy weather with our bundled up beauty.
(They did come back inside after about 15 minutes :))
Hope everyone is enjoying their new year. Nick and I are excited about our upcoming trip to Las Vegas in a little over a week! I'm sure we will have lots to post then!
